SVPP Family service project: Oregon Food Bank – June 20, 2009. About 20 SVPP Partners and kids bagged over 4000 pounds of potatoes for our hungry neighbors at the Oregon Food Bank and shared important ‘giving back’ values with the kids. View Photos.
Annual Partners Meeting: Turning Passion into Promise: What Bono, Gates, Angelina, and Everyone Can Do to Change the World – May 14, 2009. Keynote speaker Trevor Neilson, President of the Global Philanthropy Group, spoke about trends in deep-impact giving among clients such as Brad Pitt, Bono, Shakira and John Legend. The evening included SVPP’s announcement of its investment in Listen to Kids, stories of our impact and networking with Portland’s high-impact giving community. View Photos.
Lunch & Learn: A Shadow Project Classroom Visit - February 27, 2009. Partners visited a Shadow Project classroom at Clark @ Binnsmead Elementary to learn about the model and efforts of our Investee. Third grader “Jake” served as our student ambassador, sharing his journal and introducing his classmates. After the school visit, Partners went to Malay Satay Hut for conversation about the visit and other community interests.View Photos.
