Forest Grove Latino Community Network
Forest Grove schools have seen a 200% increase in their Latino population since 1993, and have struggled to meet the students’ needs:
- 80% of Latino students do not meet state standards in English/language arts
- 90% do not meet math standards
Through our investment with the Forest Grove Latino Community Network, we are helping children one-on-one both as mentors and readers. But we do more than that. We help their parents and families, too.
We help connect Latino parents to resources, education seminars, ESL classes and more. And we build a sustainable future for FGLCN by bringing other community organizations to the table.
Our investment in the Forest Grove Latino Community Network is an investment in our community’s Latino families–literacy, economic opportunities, scholastic achievement, college and leadership.
