
Our Capacity Building Fund will make investments in nonprofit organizations that have effective programs and strong leadership, but which could advance to a higher level of impact and effectiveness by strengthening the underlying organization. These investments offer:
We expect these to be 12-to-24-month investments, depending on the Investee’s needs.
Partners offer a range of professional volunteer assistance to Investees including, but not limited to: financial, strategic, and project management, planning, marketing, information technology infrastructure, real estate and legal affairs.
Our Winter 2010 investment cycle will be as follows:
January 11, 2010 – Request for Proposal issued (See links below.)
January 20, 2010, 8:30-9:30am – Investment Information Session, Center for Philanthropy, 221 NW Second Avenue, Third Floor, Portland (Note: A representative from all nonprofits that have not attended an SVPP information session in the last year is strongly encouraged to attend.) RSVP at investment@svpportland.org
February 12, 2010, 5:00pm – Deadline for submitting cover sheet and proposal to investment@svpportland.org
Week of March 8 – Finalists notified
Week of April 19 – Investee selection(s) announced
