
Partners have the opportunity to get engaged in the work of SVPP and our investments in myriad ways. In addition to the opportunities like those below, we also create opportunities for impact with our Investees based on the skills and interests of our Partners. Lead Partner – Partners who wish to make the most significant and rewarding contribution to SVPP and our Investee organizations should consider the Lead Partner role. This person serves as the project manager for our investment and capacity building activity and as liaison between the Investee, SVPP Partners and the SVPP Board. Lead Strategic Advisor - serves as part of the Investment Management Team led by the Lead Partner. The Advisor may serve as a technical expert in a particular area, a volunteer on an Investee project or assistant to the Lead, but the primary role is one of sounding board and counsel to the Lead throughout the life of the investment or as appropriate. The core commitment is two hours per month for strategy meetings with the Investee, volunteer team and Management Team.
The Lead Strategic Advisor should be an SVPP Partner with interest in strategy and guidance of the investments toward high?impact visions and ultimate success. He/She should be a good listener, analytical thinker and comfortable in a support role. ^ Back to topCASH Oregon, Market Analysis - Two/three Partners or volunteers are needed to help CASH Oregon identify the unserved markets for its free tax preparation services. Project could also lead to market service planning and/or marketing plan. Necessary skills: research and data analysis experience; market research experience a plus Time required: 20 hours max; project to begin in September 2010 Contact: Courtney Francis.
Board of Directors - The SVPP Board is comprised of nine Partners serving three year terms. The Board is responsible for the governance and promotion of SVPP. If you are a Partner interested in standing for election to the Board, contact Mark Holloway.
Community Impact Committee - This committee of Partners serves as the caretaker of SVPP model and investment portfolio; provides the direction and guidance to the Investment Team; supports and oversees our Investees and Lead Partners; maintains a sense of the pulse of the community need; and provides oversight of SVPP’s grant funding. Partnership Committee - This committee of Partners serves as the lead in engaging our Partners with interesting, valuable education opportunities, fun social and networking events, and affiliation tools. Contact: Courtney Francis.
^ Back to top Recruitment Committee – SVPP’s recruitment of new Partners as well as community relations, marketing and networking activities are planned and promoted by a group of Partners with a champion’s spirit for promoting the Partnership as well as some marketing expertise, strong networks or willingness to connect with people.
