SVPP Holiday Party - December 7, 2007
The 30th floor Penthouse of the John Ross building at the South Waterfront was the setting for SVPP's 2007 Holiday Party. SVPP Partners and friends enjoyed the spectacular 360-degree view of Portland as well as the excellent food and beverages served at this fun event.

SVPP Fall Partners' Meeting - November 15, 2007
SVPP and New Avenues for Youth hosted this event which included a presentation on "Youth Homelessness and the Business Community Response" by New Avenues for Youth Board of Directors' members Stephen Gomez and Ed Stair. The event provided a great opportunity for SVPP Partners and friends to learn about the needs and challenges facing Portland homeless youth and the impact that New Avenues for Youth programs have had in addressing these critical issues.

SVPP Annual Partners' Meeting, May 17, 2007
Partners, investees and guests attended SVPP's Annual Partners' meeting held at the World Forestry Center on May 17, 2007. It provided a great opportunity to reengage with partners, meet new faces and interact directly with all our investees. Our guest speaker, Donna M. Beegle, PhD, talked about the dynamics of living in poverty and sensitized everyone about the lack of knowledge by most of us on this subject. Her personal accounts of growing up in generations of poverty provided a riveting topic that captivated the large audience that attended this event.
